Hungarian Teen Makes History at Stockholm Junior Water Prize

Hungary has achieved a historic first at a leading global competition for young water scientists. Fifteen-year-old Laura Ivánka, a student at the British International School Budapest, received the Diploma of Excellence at the 2026 Stockholm Junior Water Prize world final for DIVE&CLEAN, her system designed to remove plastic from the seabed before it breaks down into microplastics.
