Corrections Policy

We correct any factual error: wrong figures, misstated dates, misattributed quotes, incorrect names, titles or locations, and mischaracterised documents. We also correct headlines and standfirsts when they overstate what the reporting supports.

Typographical fixes and clarifications that do not change meaning are made silently. Anything that alters a reader's understanding of the story is disclosed.

A corrected article keeps its original URL. The update time shown in the article header changes, and a short correction note explains what was wrong and what it now says. We do not remove published articles to conceal an error; withdrawal is reserved for legal or safety reasons and is stated on the page.

Articles about ongoing events are updated as facts are confirmed. Substantive updates are reflected in the update timestamp so readers can see how current the reporting is.

Readers, officials and companies can request a correction at any time. Please identify the article, the specific passage in question and the evidence supporting the correction; the newsroom reviews every request and responds to the substance rather than the source of the complaint. Correction requests are handled by the editorial team through the contact channel published in the site footer.
